Orkide Döner in Essen

The staff aren't friendly and they take too long to prepare their food, which is too expensive!

Really bad doner kebab, almost no meat inside and the meat that was inside really didn't taste good. I would not recommend anyone because otherwise I would be offended. Very questionable how the shop was rated so well ...

Tastes like any other kebab. It's just a mince skewer from the wholesaler like everywhere else. You don't know what's inside. The only shop I know in Essen that uses self-layered meat from its own production is such a small shop in Holsterhausen. Burak kebab house. It is astonishing that very few people only use this procedure. But it's just more expensive and involves more effort. Only the sad thing is that only the customers at least know and continue to happily eat minced meat, which no longer has much to do with a kebab ...

Ordered from Orkide for the first time. The cola was totally stale, probably already open or super old. Feel really disgusting to have drunk it. The kebab was ok, but not a hit either. :(

Orkide in Essen has the best kebab I've ever tasted! Not voted one of the best in Germany for nothing, the sauces are mega, whether yogurt (a little sweeter) or cocktail sauce, the meat (very well seasoned), the bread, everything. I only eat orkid kebab! The staff are also very friendly. Thank you and keep it up!

UNRESTRICTED MOVEMENT! The kebab is ok but for such a world class rating it should be top if the knowledge and all the taste buds have been surpassed I can fully agree that there are much better but apparently not in Essen when it comes to this district. A straight 3 is to be rated here but it is definitely better. You have to be honest with yourself and the price is not excessive.

I had ordered a vegan vegetable bag (without cheese and with hummus as a sauce). Unfortunately, I got a vegetable bag with cheese and yogurt dressing. And then I also had to pay € 5 (a friend who ordered a "normal" vegetable bag only had to pay € 4) Please pay more attention next time. (Unfortunately we had ordered shortly before the shop closed, so it was closed when I noticed)

Not the best quality but decent size portion

This shop is one of the best of its kind. Very fresh and high quality, extremely nice service and excellent craftsmanship. There you think about good food. We recommend. We came from Hamburg especially to try this doner kebab. It was worth it!

FOOD & DRINKS I had the Lahmacun with doner. To make it simple. It tasted ok. Veggies still had their crunch, the meat was a bit on the sweeter side, tender with no crispy edges and the bread was soft with a slight chew. I could have lived without the tomatoes. They had no flavor. SERVICE The staff was friendly and the food was served pretty fast. ATMOSPHERE The restaurant is actually a bit more modern than most doner kebap places in the area. I especially like the chalk board to display their items. Very unusual for this type of restaurant. But in a very positive way. RATING There is not much to complain about but at the same time there was nothing that urges me to come back. If you happen to be close to this restaurant and crave some doner, give it a try.

We come from Bielefeld and quickly looked for something to eat. We were there for the first time, but we were warmly welcomed. The kebab tasted really fresh and the salad was nice and crisp and not stale, like in other shops. The yogurt sauce was a bit too sweet for us personally. The cocktail sauce tasted good. The fries were really delicious! They were well seasoned and perfectly fried. I will definitely be back! It was a really nice experience.

My favorite döner kebab anywhere in the world! We visit Essen annually, and no visit is complete without a meal (or several) at Orkidé Döner Kebab!

One of the best Döner places in town. Good quality meat.

Too bad taste. Price is too high compare to other part of NRW area . I don’t recommend to anyone.

Great place close to Messe. Fresh food, huge portions and fair prices. The doner is cut thin the way the do it in Turkey/North Cyprus. The meat is spot on, the sauces are good, fries, rice, salad, all great.

Friendly and always been served well

I have been one of the first customers 20 years ago and I still like the shop and the atmosphere inside. In fact it is one of the few I stay inside for Döner, Lamacun, etc.. But again and again and although I have been telling them: food is too cold. Maybe because they take salad directly from fridge and put it to the meat and french fries? Still, I dont bother and will, esp in light of the huge competitive offers, have my Lunch at other Locations.
